The City of Belleville has received grant funds from Nex Generation to help pay for an internship at the Belleville Municipal Pool.
Nex-Generation Round Up for Youth’s mission is to educate northwest and north central Kansas students about local career opportunities by providing and supporting programs in career development, entrepreneurship, and internship. Through these efforts, they hope to foster a positive sense of community and encourage youth to remain or return home to prosper.
The internship will be for the position of Assistant Manager at the Belleville Swimming Pool.
Duties will include helping with scheduling of lifeguards, lifeguarding and other administrative functions, as well as learning management skills.
The dates for the internship will be May through August.
The internship is open to area College and High School students who are living in the area (16+).
